Lula Goce and the Poetic Power of Nature at KROMATIC
Sant Andreu de la Barca
Lula Goce, a Galician artist of international renown, was one of the standout participants in the KROMATIC Festival, held this June in Sant Andreu de la Barca. Her work transformed a party wall on Carretera Martorell into an ode to balance, nature, and introspection.
With a career that blends fine arts, muralism, and profound visual sensitivity, Lula created a mural in which a young woman in a meditative pose merges with a symbolic natural universe. Seated on a bed of flowers and leaves, the central figure carries a bird’s nest on her head, from which birds emerge — symbols of thoughts, freedom, and creativity. This delicate yet powerful scene becomes a visual call to reconnect with the natural world and to embrace a conscious, respectful life in harmony with biodiversity.
The artist notes that the city, surrounded by rivers and mountains, has often turned its back on its natural environment. For this reason, the mural is also an invitation to see it with new eyes, to value and reflect on the role we play as inhabitants. According to Lula, the painting seeks to encourage more sustainable actions and to help us imagine a more ecological way of living through the transformative power of art.
With her poetic and meticulous aesthetic, Lula Goce has brought to the festival a visually and emotionally impactful piece, reaffirming KROMATIC’s commitment to urban art as a transformative tool capable of fostering critical thinking.
