Quatre Camins — an urban art mural workshop inside a prison

In April 2012, Persianes Lliures brought urban art inside the Quatre Camins prison, in La Roca del Vallès, at the suggestion of the centre’s social worker. The group photo shows the artists and inmates in front of the finished wall: a portrait of a girl with pink hair, graffiti lettering, a boombox and a character in a red top hat.

Six artists and eight inmates painted a prison wall together, and everyone’s contributions blended into an overall harmony; from the outside it was impossible to tell who was an inmate and who was an artist. That way of working was the seed of Wallspot.
