Quatre Camins — an urban art mural workshop inside a prison

Once again, Persianes Lliures wanted to break down barriers, bringing urban art inside the Quatre Camins prison. The proposal from the centre’s social worker was very well received, and the workshop run with inmates was a real success and a learning experience both for them and for the participating artists.

A total of 6 artists and 8 inmates painted a prison wall together, creating a joint piece where everyone’s individual contributions blended into an overall harmony. This sense of unity was also visible among the participants themselves, to the point that an outside observer couldn’t tell who was an inmate and who was part of the platform.
