El Parc de la Serp
Our artists Aram, Jalon, and Lucie completed the mural in the Besòs axis of the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, commissioned by the City Council. The challenge was to create a piece that would merge naturally with the urban landscape, reflecting the true essence of the neighbourhood.
Taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the Parc de la Serp and its role within the community, we designed a visual mirror: a mural that replicates neighbourhood life by depicting the diversity of people who fill it, the activities that take place there, and the essential services the space provides to citizens. The artwork celebrates the everyday richness of this urban space, making the invisible visible.
With this intervention, we expanded the visual dimensions of the street, transforming a functional public space into an immersive artistic experience. Walkers can now enjoy a new perspective of the neighbourhood as they stroll through what has become a vibrant open-air gallery. The mural stands as a testament to the power of community-commissioned public art to revitalise urban spaces and give voice to the people who inhabit them.
The project reflects Rebobinart’s commitment to creating site-specific artworks that emerge from dialogue between artists, institutions, and local communities.
L'Hospitalet

In February 2015, as part of the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat council’s remodelling of Parc de la Serp, three artists from the Murs Lliures platform painted four pieces on the walls of a small service building. The photo shows the main one: two purple-and-pink snakes with yellow eyes coiling across a green background, a direct nod to the park’s name (serp means snake in Catalan).
The wall, grey and meaningless before, became the spot where people stop, and the remodelled park gained a landmark of its own. It is one of the murals for institutions we make for town councils; more about the city at L’Hospitalet City Council.
