Cuerpos Sonoros by Kenor
In September, the artist Kenor painted a community artistic mural as part of the Pla Integral Les Planes – Blocs La Florida project, produced by Rebobinart and with the initiative of the Hospitalet de Llobregat city hall.
This collaborative plan intention is to bring art closer to people and their living areas. Each intervention is focused on a different theme and this occasion the mural main topic is geometry.
Kenor, the artist, has a long experience in big size painting, not only in Spain, but also internationally in countries such as Finland, Ukraine, or the United States. He is considered a pioneer in Abstract Graffiti because of his beginnings and first actions in the 90’s.
The design was made through a participatory process with kids and youths of La Florida Esplai, in which they could meet the artist and his creative process. Kenor took some suggestions from them that were the inspiration for him to design the sketch.
Cuerpos Sonoros (Resounding Bodies) shows the ability of Kenor to communicate and express concepts through lines and figures, giving a new life to another building of La Florida apartment blocks. Other projects inside the same plan are the Mural for Women made by B-TOY, the Mural for the Elders by Elisa Capdevila, the Mural for Music made by Kamil Escruela in the CEIP Pau Vila or the Mural for Birds by Irene López León.
