Artistic Intervention at Palautordera

On the 30^TH of June, the artist Gemma Fontanals made an artistic intervention in an electric booth in the town of Santa Marta de Palautordera.

This intervention is part of a project that aims to naturalize the urban space by creating murals that represent native plant species of Montseny. The electric booth, located on carrer Margarita 42, was the fourth booth that has been artistically modified since the project began.

Gemma Fontanals captured in this work a group of girls enjoying nature that can be found in the Parc del Montseny. On the four sides of the booth, we can find people going on excursions, observing the birds and flowers, and enjoying the surroundings. The booth is located next to La Tordera school, so it was the students who chose Gemma to decorate this facility with her murals. Through her characteristic characters, the artist wanted to transmit values ​​of respect and coexistence towards the environment, some key aspects for the children, young people, and families of the center.
