WRITERS JAM

The action was carried out simultaneously in Barcelona and Madrid, with the aim of creating a space for female empowerment to claim the lack of gender equality in the urban art field. Rebobinart was in charge of organising and producing the initiative.

The 25^th of October we celebrated the first of the different actions framed on the new Wallspot project: the JAMS, that consist in the realization of different actions about various subjects that will be celebrated during this year on Wallspot walls and which Rebobinart has been in charge of producing them.

The first editions will be held in the  Tres Xemeneies gardens, a space under renovation that aims to improve coexistence between the different groups that are frequent in the square.

Last Sunday, October 25th, we celebrated the first of the Jams: Writers Jam, dedicated to all graffiti writers. In this Jam, 10 artists selected through a call to Wallspot artists who practice this technique participated. The event had two invited artists, who were in charge of selecting the participants of the call. These were Rioga and Stefano Phen. The 10 artists selected to participate in the Writers Jam were: Guido, Bemie, Fractal Tattoo, Zaick, Reos, Invalid.Ink, Gabs, Poser, Skow and Fresh.

Each of them had a unique style that was shaped in Tres Xemeneies, in an action that helped to reinforce the ties between the artists and Wallspot and, besides, to promote artistic interventions to the free walls of the square.

Rebobinart, besides being in charge of the production, it provided the artists with enough sprays for them to execute their artworks.
