How the workshop works
The programme is structured in two phases. In the first phase, students receive a theoretical session on the origins and evolution of urban art: from Mexican muralism to 1970s New York graffiti, through the street art interventions that have transformed neighbourhoods worldwide. In the second phase, participants put into practice what they have learned, experimenting with techniques such as stencil, lettering and spray paint on prepared surfaces.
Educational impact
These workshops go beyond technical skills. They develop collective creativity, respect for public space and the ability to express ideas through art. Vil·la Joana school welcomed the project with enthusiasm, and the result was a mural that the students themselves designed and executed collectively, leaving their mark on the school.
