SIDONIE — Catalan Graffiti

Barcelona / November 2025
Sidonie presents Catalan Graffiti with a mural intervention in Barcelona, a visual and sonic work created at Les Tres Xemeneies as part of the launch of their first album entirely sung in Catalan. The project, produced by Rebobinart, transforms public space into an artistic extension of the band’s musical universe.
Catalan Graffiti: a turning point in Sidonie’s career
On November 14, 2025, the Barcelona-based trio Sidonie —formed by Marc Ros, Jes Senra and Axel Pi— released Catalan Graffiti, the first album in their career sung entirely in Catalan. After more than 25 years of artistic trajectory, this work marks a new creative phase and an explicit tribute to the language and culture that shaped them.
The album explores themes such as friendship, the passage of time, pop melancholy, and the connection to personal and collective memories. Musically, Catalan Graffiti engages in dialogue with references from both British and Catalan pop, building an intimate and generational narrative.
A mural as an extension of the sonic universe
Within this context, Rebobinart produced a mural painting that replicates the album cover at Les Tres Xemeneies, an iconic public space in Barcelona and a key hub of urban culture. The intervention was conceived as part of the album’s visual presentation and the live show in the square, turning the urban landscape into a living extension of the musical project.
The mural acted as the central element of an open public event, connecting aesthetics, music and community, and creating a meeting point for local residents, fans and the general public.
Music, urban art and public space
The collaboration between Sidonie and Rebobinart went beyond the album release. The wall became the backdrop for an open-air concert, where audiences were able to experience the fusion of live music and the large-scale visual impact of urban graffiti.
This type of action reinforces the role of urban art as an artistic language integrated into the city’s landscape and everyday life. The production and execution of the mural highlighted a methodology that combines creativity, professional artistic management and cultural activation of public space.
An open dialogue between disciplines
With Catalan Graffiti, Sidonie have not only marked a turning point in their discography —with presentations in Barcelona, Madrid and a tour including acoustic formats and venue shows— but have also opened up new spaces for dialogue between music and urban art.
A dialogue that Rebobinart has had the pleasure of making visible through this intervention at Parc de les Tres Xemeneies, reaffirming urban art as a tool for cultural connection, contemporary memory and collective experience.
