Mural painting Anna Taratiel, WALL LAB festival Barcelona

On 8 April 2010, as part of Persianes Lliures, the shops of the Castelldefels market turned to urban art to freshen up the space. The photo shows one of the murals: an old car turned into a robot, with green eyes, next to a portrait of a girl with a straight fringe and orange cheeks, on a purple and orange background.

A total of 36 artists took part in the makeover and shared a meal with the market’s workers. Persianes Lliures, which looked for walls and shutters where people could paint with permission, preceded Murs Lliures and was the seed of Wallspot.
