The City Council of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, together with the urban art production company Rebobinart, has inaugurated a large format mural work located in Peñíscola street, in the neighborhood of Can Serra (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat).

During the months of December 2022 and January 2023, the walls of more than 10 meters high and 40 meters long of Peñíscola street, as well as its spiral layout, have been the ideal setting for the artist Alba Fabre to create a mural inspired by a vertical garden.

Fabre wanted to intervene this space with nature as the main element and invites us to reflect on the importance and impact of green areas and vegetation in the urban environment.

Through a delicate style but full of strength, the Peñiscola Street has become a green garden full of floral ornaments that changes tones and colors. This work is a simulation of the entrance of light from dawn until the sun sets, creating an immersive and unique experience that now belongs to the neighbors and all those pedestrians who pass by. The artist wanted to respect and enrich to the maximum this space of the city.

Thus, this production promoted by the City Council of L’Hospitalet and produced by Rebobinart, has been a clear commitment to artistic creation and dynamism of public spaces while trying to influence the processes of change in the cities.

Alba Fabre (Barcelona) is a professor of art at the Barcelona Academy of Art, painter and reference of muralism in Barcelona. The artist builds works with clear aesthetics and classical inspiration and her figurative style, often reminiscent of impressionism, combines elements of painting with those of photography.

With his murals, Fabre manages to transport us into a dreamlike, subtle and charming world characterized by meticulous and careful strokes while playing with a color palette that captures and respects the space and the environment.
