Graffiti workshop in Moratalaz

On Saturday 19 December we took to the streets with eight boys and girls from the Asociación Caminar, in El Ruedo. With them we went to the free wall at Dr. García Tapia – Media Legua and, alongside the graffiti artist and social educator Dulze, we painted a mural in defence of children’s rights.
The morning turned out rainy, so while Dulze and the group of children prepared some sketches and learned how to draw shadows and 3D lettering on paper, under cover at Caminar’s premises, we primed the wall to stay ahead of the rain.
After having breakfast together, we got down to work. For the Asociación Caminar, which has been working in El Ruedo for more than 30 years, working for children’s rights is a fundamental and constant part of its mission. That was the message the boys and girls left on the lowest part of the wall, the part closest to El Ruedo.
The initiative, produced by Rebobinart, was part of the Wallspot Madrid project, with the support of Montana Colors and Montó Pinturas.
