Centre d’acollida Assís — a mural with residents at a homeless shelter

In 2010, ten artists from the platform painted inside the Assís reception centre, which provides comprehensive care for homeless people, with the support of the Sarrià district. The photo shows a large mural full of colourful characters on a sloping wall, with a vegetable garden in front.

The action, which lasted all day, involved the people cared for at the centre, who learned the basic techniques and completed the artists’ works. It is one of the projects for institutions in which a mural is also a tool for social inclusion.
