Swab 2013 — Rebobinart artists at Barcelona’s contemporary art fair

Rebobinart will be taking part in this year’s SWAB Contemporary Art Fair by inviting urban artists who have worked with the association on other events. The art show, held on 27 September at the Tres Xemeneies park with a good popular paella on the side, featured artists Dyox, Soem, Ibie and Sandro Bedini.
This fair fits very well with Rebobinart’s values around supporting emerging art and discovering new talent. That’s why Rebobinart pushed for some of the platform’s urban artists to have the chance to show their talent at this fair. Urban art couldn’t be missing from this event, since it already represents, in itself, a break from the closed, elitist logic that the art world often presents — the very thing the organisers of Swab are aiming to change.
It’s also a valuable opportunity for these urban artists to take part in a fair whose main goal is discovering new talent and creating opportunities for them to develop their work professionally.
Rebobinart reaffirms, in this way, its purpose of supporting local urban art, and above all its artists, so that Barcelona can once again become a benchmark for the quality of its street art.
