Students from the Joan Fuster High School in Barcelona together with the artists Aram Rah and Edjin performed a community mural within the centre.

A 264 m² mural made by students

The result is a 264 square metre mural —66 metres long by 4 metres high— that the students of Institut Joan Fuster themselves designed and executed under the guidance of Rebobinart artists. More than a work of art, it is a testament to young people’s creative capacity when given the tools and space to express themselves.

Two-phase methodology

The first phase consisted of painting the geometric shapes surrounding the sporting objects: circles, lines and angles that make up the compositional background of the mural. This introductory stage allowed participants to familiarise themselves with the spray technique in a controlled way. Once the basic technique was mastered, the second phase began: painting the sporting objects and moving figures that bring the composition to life.

The project was supported by the Sant Andreu District and the Garcilaso centre.
