Urban art workshop at Escola Bogatell

Between 28 and 30 March 2017, more than 200 pupils aged 8 to 12 from Escola Bogatell transformed 110 square metres of the playground wall. Guided by the artist Tim Marsh, they painted a large blue background filled with geometric shapes, fish, a whale and starfish: a tribute to marine life, since the school sits right by the sea.
Before picking up the spray cans, the sixth-year groups took part in a talk on the origins of urban art and its social meaning. This mix of reflection and practice is at the heart of the urban art workshops and courses that Rebobinart brings to Barcelona schools.
