Plaça Dolors Vives — opening a new green space in Sant Martí

The opening of Plaça Dolors Vives, in the Sant Martí district, was a great day for the neighbourhood and for us.

Reusing a space means finding new meanings and new dimensions for it. Giving a space a name means giving it a personality, and therefore a framework for what happens there. These were Barcelona City Council’s goals.

Rebobinart drove the energy behind the square’s opening: this new space, turned into green space for the neighbourhood and therefore a leisure area for both adults and children, was the reason behind our activity.

Loaded with good energy and plenty of paint, we created a space for artistic creation for the youngest residents, whose participation was key to starting to fill this new public space with meaning for the people of Barcelona, and especially for those in the Sant Martí district.
