This initiative is the result of a group of young people from the Besòs district who claim to turn the old Besòs cinemas into an activity center. The artist Camil Escruela performed a mural to give visibility to this space.
In the video, the mural on the old Pere IV cinema, in Besòs i el Maresme: «what they have painted outside is what they would like to have inside». Residents are calling for a youth centre in this empty council-owned building, and Rebobinart helped them find a painter from the neighbourhood. It is inspired by Mariscal and by Ibáñez's «13, Rue del Percebe».

The reportWhat they have painted outside is what they would like to have inside. That is how people in Besòs i el Maresme are calling for a youth centre in the old Pere IV cinema, a council-owned building.
The neighbourhoodIt was an empty space, a space with nothing in it, and we asked ourselves: how can we get the neighbourhood's attention so that people realise this space is missing?
The reportThey obtained the permit for the intervention and got in touch with the artists' platform Rebobinart to help them find a painter from the neighbourhood. They met him to explain what they wanted in the mural.
The neighbourhoodAnd I loved being able to put a banner in there demanding «volem equipaments» — we want facilities.
The reportHe painted it over a weekend using a large crane. It is inspired by Mariscal and by Ibáñez's «13, Rue del Percebe».
The artistI'm extremely proud to have been able to set down my art and, on top of that, to help the neighbourhood, make it prettier, and see whether together we get a facility out of it.
The reportThey hope the action will be a starting point for working with the city council on a project to recover the building as a youth centre. At present there is no facility of this kind either in the neighbourhood or nearby.
