The artistic duo Pedra performed an artistic intervention in Girona (Plaça Pou Rodó) on 22 June. It was a playful and contemplative installation, from the universe of kinetic mobiles, inspired by the evolution of the use of the word bòlit, referring to the name of the contemporary art center of the city of Girona that hosted the intervention. The different pieces that make up the installation combine textile arts, movement and music and will generate an interaction with the public. This intervention is part of the Womart project, an initiative of Rebobinart that aims to reclaim the need to recognize and make more visible the female talent in the visual arts and promote gender equality in all artistic visual disciplines. The realization of this mural has been promoted by the Xarxa Transversal with the support of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In the video, Pedra talks about her piece for WOMART in Girona, her first work in the street. The motif is the bòlit, which is at once the meteorite —the cosmic part, the thing that moves very fast— and the traditional children's game, the handmade part. «That much lower percentage people always talk about is there in every field.»

The first thing that comes to me about women's presence in the art world: I see a very strong connection with women's presence in the world. I think that much lower percentage people always talk about is there in every field.
The experience of the street is learning new things, because it is a new installation, in a new space, where you have to take other questions into account. A project like WOMART gave us that chance: having to make art in the street gave us the chance to make a piece in the street for the first time, and to learn.
Pedra is a bòlit, and Pedra is about the bòlit. There is a more material side, which would be the bòlit as the meteorite that travels very fast, the more cosmic side; and the bòlit that becomes the traditional game, which is the handmade, more childlike side. And it is simply a mobile: as if we were there in the middle and everything that surrounds us.
There is a lot of one's own imagination in it, of the private universe each of us has. It is true that in that sense you draw a great deal on that side, but it is also true that for us, perhaps because of this design schooling we have, there is always a word, there is a halo that is what carries you along.
