BIG WAALLS by Yrwing

Big Waalls is a Rebobinart project that offers artists a set of medium and large-format walls on which to create their work. Rebobinart provides artists with all the tools and spaces they need, in order to open up a circuit of walls in the city of Barcelona after the severe restrictions that street art suffered in 2006 with the introduction of the civic-behaviour by-law.

On this occasion, the artist Yrwing was in charge of intervening on a large-format wall in Poblenou, Barcelona. The artists taking part in this project are selected from among the users of the Murs Lliures platform, giving greater visibility to the artists who use the platform regularly.

This intervention, like all those that form part of the Big Waalls project, seeks to fit coherently into the landscape without losing the power to seduce and surprise that street art brings. The project aims to secure large-format spaces for high-quality artistic interventions that make a significant impact on their surroundings.
