The charismatic Uriginal has been in charge of the artistic intervention of more than 130 square meters. He studied philosophy and anthropology at the University of Barcelona and in parallel began to graffiti and intervene walls in the neighborhood where he grew up: the Gornal, in Hospitalet de Llobregat along with great pioneers of street art artists at national and international level as Chuper Negro and El Pez. His style stands out for the eclecticism of elements of pop and folkloric heritage combined with classical components. The portraits of women, recurrent in his creations, are represented as a mosaic with geometric polygon cutouts inspired by the computer technique of low poly. Uriginal bets on remixes, mash-ups and, starting from iconic works, transforms them by giving them a new life and a new perspective. He has created murals all over the world: Paris, London, New Jersey, Bergamo, Amsterdam, Rome, Miami, Montreal, Madrid and Denver.

The proposal of the Catalan urban artist for the new Livensa Living Studios Alcobenda building is an allegory to strength and wisdom, represented by a woman. Based on his particular colorful style, Uriginal has opted for a contemporary fusion of Athena, goddess of war and civilization, with Minerva, goddess of wisdom and the arts.

The mural that presides over the exterior façade depicts a young woman in the purest Greek style. Her empowered gaze gives off a captivating force that invites those who look at her to confront the dialectic of light and shadow; of thought and action. She is an ambivalent character and proof of this are the animals that accompany her: the owl and the wolf. While the owl represents philosophy, observation and solitude, the wolf symbolizes physical resistance, communication and going in a group. The protagonist of the mural is a metaphor for the spirit of Livensa Living, a mediating space, the middle ground and the balance between tranquility and movement; between understanding and action.

Inside the building we find the second mural, which is a continuation of the exterior, thus giving a space for dialogue between the characters and the artist’s own cosmology.

The Livensa Living Studio Alcobendas building is one of the two tourist accommodations, in addition to the sixteen student residences in Spain and Portugal. All of them are designed as spaces to include large works of urban art contributing to add cultural value to the urban landscape of the neighborhoods and cities where they are located. The mural will be inaugurated after the summer, when the hotel opens its doors next September. In addition to this production, Livensa Living is also working on two other projects in the cities of Getafe and Granada: one in Granada by the artist Marina Capdevila and the other in Getafe by the Boa Mistura collective.[/vc_column_text][vc_gmaps link=”#E-8_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”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row thb_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row thb_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
