Womart: urban art with women’s voices

Womart is the Rebobinart programme that gives visibility and professional careers to women artists in urban art. Born in 2018 as a response to gender inequality in the visual arts circuits, it has produced murals, jams, exhibitions and interventions in several cities, always with creative freedom for each artist.

Why Womart exists

More than 70% of Fine Arts students are women; on walls and in exhibitions they do not even reach 15%. Womart works to close that gap.

Visibility

Large-format walls, exhibitions and jams where the signature belongs to a woman artist, no quota, no exception.

Professional careers

Fees, production and documentation at the same level as any other project: a career, not volunteering.

Freedom of discourse

Each artist chooses what to say: femininity, gender, memory or simply her own work.

Network and community

Collective jams, round tables and meetings that connect artists across generations and cities.
